System Blue Marching Skills Camp

July 14th-16th, 2011
University of Minnesota, Minneapolis

This event provides marching students and music educators an amazing opportunity to learn from the most successful drum corps in DCI history in TCF Bank Stadium! This three-day intensive music, marching and guard camp will be taught by the instructors of the 14-time DCI World Champion Blue Devils. A broad range of skills needed for the outdoor marching activity will be studied. Participants will work in both small groups and large ensembles in the state-of-the-art U of M Marching Band music rooms and have the opportunity to play alongside current members of the Blue Devils. Participants will perform in TCF Bank Stadium during the retreat at DCI Minnesota. Housing is provided in the University of Minnesota dormitories.
Minnesota Brass is sponsoring scholarships for the System Blue Marching Skills Camp.

In one of the biggest drum corps events in the country, the 2011 Drum Corps International Tour will roll through Minneapolis on Saturday, July 16th, at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Home of the University of Minnesota's Golden Gophers, this beautiful state-of-the-art venue will host a whopping lineup of 24 World, Open and All-Age Class corps during one fun-filled and exciting evening. The largest marching music show ever held in Minnesota will feature ALL of the world's top drum corps!
